Alba joins Myers in his new comedy

Variety reports that the film tells the story of Pitka (Myers), an American who was raised in an ashram in India and returns to the US to seek his fortune as a relationship therapist. He is hired to work out the difficulties between a star hockey player and his cheating wife. Alba will play the owner of the hockey team, who becomes Pitka's love interest. The film, co-written by Myers, is due out next June.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress has reportedly signed a $4 million deal with Cruise’s production company. The movie, called The Eye, will be a Hollywood remake of the Hong Kong film Jian Gui in which Allison, to be played by Alba, starts seeing ghosts after receiving a cornea transplant It is not yet known whether Cruise will star in the movie alongside Jessica, who is working on Sin City and Fantastic Four sequels this year. The Eye will be filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The actress told TV show Extra last month: 'We shot all our love scenes in one day and I actually lost a tooth. I chipped a tooth as well [and] I need to get that fixed. 'Isn't that disgusting? We were smashing our faces together and it just happened. It's not the slowest, most romantic of love scenes. Dane's a wild one.' Meanwhile the poll, conducted by Colgate, found that Robbie Williams is the most desirable male celebrity that women would like to kiss. Brad Pitt, Prince Harry, Daniel Craig and Frank Lampard also made the top five most kissable lips, Sky reports.

The original flick, which starred Malaysia’s Angelica Lee Sin-Je, is a thriller about a cornea transplant recipient who sees disturbing images in the mirror that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye’s previous owner. The Hong Kong film was directed by Danny and Oxide Pang. Paramount bought the remake rights in 2002 and got close to making it with Renee Zellweger but the actress dropped out, the project lost momentum and the studio put it into turnaround. Alba is in talks to make The Eye her next project after the Fantastic Four sequel.

The movie follows the story of a man down on his luck, tired of his job and who finds his wife in bed with local news anchorman but finds a new purpose with his life after reluctantly mentoring an unruly teen. Last week, Alba revealed she is desperate to sunbathe topless this summer. The actress - who is also due to start filming 'Fantastic Four 2' in August - wants to sun her breasts while holidaying on the beaches of Europe, but is paranoid the paparazzi will catch her out. She said: 'I would do if it were just me and my guy, but the paparazzi seem to pop up everywhere. 'I think I'll be wearing a bikini. Bikinis are more flattering on my body.'

In town for her high-profile gig as host of the 2006 MTV Movie Awards (see 'MTV Movie Awards: Will Ferrell Freaks Out; Jessica Simpson Dusts Off Daisy Dukes'), the actress is revealing some big secrets for 'Fantastic Four 2,' the superhero sequel she'll soon begin filming. And if there's one thing that perks up the ears of the men who've supposedly made her the most Googled woman in history, it's the pairing of the words 'revealing' and 'Alba.' 'I start [filming] on August 28th, I think, through the fall,' Alba said of the sequel to last year's blockbuster about a radiation-fueled super-family. 'It's going to be a very, very exciting, hot, new, fresh 'Fantastic Four.' We're going to amp up the action, amp up the love interest, amp it all up.' As far as that first count is concerned, look for returning heroes Johnny Storm (Chris Evans), Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis) and Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) to embark on some seriously enhanced action scenes, but it will be Sue whose powers will blow everyone else away. 'I'm the most powerful of the four,' Alba boasted, saying that the full-blown effects of the first film's hero-making mishap will finally be felt as she takes on the powers of her comrades. 'I can kind of do everyone else's powers.' Continuing with all that amping up, 'FF2' will once again delve into the complicated relationship between Sue and Reed. In the last film, the sheepish Mr. Fantastic was trapped in a love triangle that had him battling with Dr. Doom. This time around, Alba promises another love triangle, and a new co-star who might be fueling it. 'There is a little tension between the Silver Surfer and Reed,' Alba said of the script, which will finally bring the legendary Marvel character to the big screen. The cosmos-roaming Silver Surfer has gained an army of loyal fans with his conflicted, complicated story line. Of the Surfer, Alba said: 'He's a little good and a little bad. So it's just a matter of, 'What does Sue Storm bring — the good or the bad — out of that boy?' ' Alba's clues could equal a romantic subplot between Sue and a Silver-skinned lothario. While comic book fans are connecting such dots, it also helps to note that there could never be a Silver Surfer without a Galactus. 'I cannot bring up Galactus,' Alba said, taking a deep breath and giggling. 'I can't believe I just said his name. 'Maybe he'll do an appearance,' she added. For those who aren't tracking world-devouring mega-monsters, Galactus is the immeasurably powerful, millions-of-miles-tall being who must wander the universe looking for planets to snack on for sustenance. Galactus and the Surfer are as inextricably linked as George Steinbrenner and Joe Torre — appropriate, since an accurate cinematic manifestation of Galactus could cost enough money to bankrupt even the Yankees owner. 'We do have some villain action — maybe a new villain, maybe an old villain, maybe one of us turns into a villain,' Alba added. Specifically asked if Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon) would be in the sequel, the actress smiled. 'Maybe, maybe,' she offered. Wrapping things up, Alba bristled at speculation that the recently announced departure of Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad would have any effect on his involvement with the movie. 'He owns it, he owns Marvel, he's totally producing,' she said. 'He owns everybody. He owns all of us — Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four.' ' 'Fantastic Four' is so much fun, and we really have such a great, strong family that we created,' Alba added. 'I'm totally excited, and with 'X-Men' doing so well, it just lets everyone know [that more comic book movies are wanted]. It's our whole same [Marvel] team. We are all so happy for them, and we're ready to go in this year and bang out another one.' And with that, the world's most visible Invisible Woman vanished once again. The actress admits that she is always careful during scuba diving, because she doesn't like attracting amorous dolphins. Alba discovered that the mammals got aroused by her presence when she was a youngster, shooting dolphin drama Flipper. 'I don't know if anybody knows this but dolphins get excited, even when you are a human being - and they have long, long... (penises). I didn't know this until I was being poked by a few of them, which was very rude. I think I learned my lesson. I sort of request female dolphins after that because those are horny little bastards,' she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying. Alba reveals the dolphin dilemma became a constant joke at the actress' expense. 'Needless to say my closest friends and family did dolphin squeaking noises for the next five years any time they referred to me or called me or talked to me, which was pretty annoying,' she added.
