Jessica Simpson says: Amanda, this weekend we were in San Francisco and lots of kids from my webpage put letters and pictures together and they gave it to Nick and me. It is so very sweet and inspiring!

Jessica Simpson says: C and D, "Where You Are" is next. Then "I Think I am in Love." That one may be in summer, early summer. It stars Chris Klein and Leelee Sobieski.

Jessica Simpson says: My video that premieres tonight ("Where You Are"), I heard this song and I thought it was kind of depressing. I wanted to make it a duet and it has an Angel that comforts me. Nick wrote a bridge that is really comforting. The video is about losing somebody and that no matter what happens, they are there with you.

Digital Dish Diva says: txgirl asks: Jessica, when will your WB show begin? Are you and Ashlee both going to be starring in it?

Jessica Simpson says: txgirl, actually, I have signed with the WB. Now we are getting together ideas. Possibly a fall pilot. They would have to shoot it soon, though. And yes, it would be with Ashlee, my little sister. She is 15.

Digital Dish Diva says: Stephanie says: I was just wondering what your biggest dream is in life or Have you already fulfilled it?

Jessica Simpson says: Stephanie, I would say I am fulfilling it. This was my dream and yes, it is coming true. It is awesome to see that what you dream about is coming to pass. I still have a lot more dreams too. I would love to win a GRAMMY. I would like to win Oscar! I would like to marry and have great kids! It isn't just about the business for me!

Jessica Simpson says: warbac, it was an amazing experience. I was in the studio and doing what I had dreamed of doing. It was important that I would inspire and move people. It was hard. It was fun and I loved every minute of it. It was cool. Long hours.

Jessica Simpson says: Sparkles, we like Lauryn Hill, Macy Gray. I love her! Those are my favorites. Nick loves Sade. We listen to that together for a romantic evening. The "Best Of" is great. "Kiss of Life," "Cherish the Day," Good stuff.

Digital Dish Diva says: "Catherine and Diane" asks: Jessica, did you and Nick ever feel pressure from record companies or management to keep your relationship a secret?

Jessica Simpson says: You know, from the beginning they said to do whatever we wanted us to do. Two to three months into the relationship, they realized that we meant it. Nick left it up to me to go public with it whenever I was ready. The record company was really supportive!

Digital Dish Diva says: txgirl asks: Jessica, hat has been your most humbling experience as an artist so far? Also, how do you and Nick feel about being in the public eye and so much focus being on your relationship?

Jessica Simpson says: (laughs) My most humbling experience was when my pants ripped at Madison Square Garden, My pants fell off me. I had to dance off the back of the stage. My mom gave me her jeans. I went back out there and sang the rest of the song in front of 20,000 fans. I had always dreamed of singing there. It was very humbling. They cheered me on! The New York fans were great. They appreciated the fact that I came out there! My mom was backstage in my underwear! (laughs)

Jessica Simpson says: About Nick and I being in the public eye, we knew at the beginning there would be a lot of attention. There is a lot of responsibility with this. Sometimes we wish for our privacy. Today on my message board, there were so many supportive people with Valentine's Day messages. It was really cool!

Digital Dish Diva says: Shannon 16 asks: I heard that you would love to go on tour with Backstreet Boys, do you think that you will in the near future?

Jessica Simpson says: Shannon, I love BSB. 98 Degrees is my favorite though. I love BSB. They are amazing. I am a huge fan. I would love to go out with them on tour. I was going to at one point, but it didn't work out.

Digital Dish Diva says: Kasja says: Do you ever get to be a normal person and just go to the movies or go shopping?

Jessica Simpson says: kasja, oh yeah, definitely. Nick and I go to the movies. I definitely go shopping and get to go out. I do get recognized but I just put a hat on or something. When people see me they don't recognize me because I am so petite. I am only 5'3 and a half!

Digital Dish Diva says: effzAngel98 asks: I think you guys are so adorable. How do you cope with all of the rumors about you guys and some of the teenyboppers opposing your relationship?

Jessica Simpson says: effz, well, with anything there are rumors. It doesn't bother us. We really like to be together. When people see us together they see how much we like each other! They would go out with him too! (laughs)

Jessica Simpson says: missy, 98 Degrees is working on a summer album. I am working on an album at the end of the summer. Thanks for asking. I am always writing. I am always looking for songs and writing songs!

Jessica Simpson says: Ever since I was little I would write letters to my husband. I wrote one when I was 8 or 9 and it says "To My Prince Charming. . ." It read how one day he will rub my hair. It is written in crayon. I put it in a frame for Nick. I also gave him a fishbowl. I know this is corny. I wrote on the fishbowl "I caught the best fish in the sea" and filled it with all the things that he likes. There's different candies and gum...lots of things that he likes a lot! I know it's corny!

Jessica Simpson says: weetheart, the first time I met Nick, I went to a holiday parade and we had the same manager. He introduced us. I then saw him at the Teen People party. Ever since we have been together. He called me on my way home. We hit it off immediately! This January 10 was our first anniversary!

Jessica Simpson says: Thanks!! I appreciate that! I started singing in church when I was 5. I loved singing and performing. I have always known this is something I have always wanted to do. I am a huge Celine Dion fan. She is always so confident. She is always on. She seems really grounded. Plus she called me to wish me well when I was on the hospital. That made me feel better!

Jessica Simpson says: Cassie, my favorite is "Where You Are," and "I Want to Love You Forever" and "Heart of Innocence" because I wrote that song and it is really personal to me.

Jessica Simpson says: LT, actually, I would like to be a therapist or do hair and makeup. When they do mine, I like watching what they do. I did everybody's hair before prom. They all came to me!

Jessica Simpson says: bubba, actually, I would love to sing with Christina. She has a great voice! I think she is very talented.

Jessica Simpson says: bliss, thanks I love him too! LOL! I started my career because I made the final cut for the Mickey Mouse Club with Justin and Britney. We all made the cut. At the end, I froze and couldn't do it and didn't make it. It made me realize it was what I wanted to do. I realized it was a God's given gift. My dad is a preacher and I would go out with him. One door opened to another. A man heard me. He was at a Gospel label. Then Columbia Records heard me. I believe if it is meant to be, then it is going to happen, no matter what!

Jessica Simpson says: Nicknames? I call Nick, Nicholas. He calls me Jess or Jessie.

Jessica Simpson says: Baby, I would say be patient. Persevere. Work your craft. Get in voice lessons. Work it. At any opportunity, sing. Believe in your gifts and work hard. It takes a lot of hard work! Good luck!

Jessica Simpson says: Ruby, I am so lucky! Ricky is the nicest guy I have ever met. Every night he would come by. He has an amazing heart. I can't say enough nice things about him!

Jessica Simpson says: jayme, well, my parents really believed in me and inspired me to go for my dreams. When I said for sure this is what I want to be, I was twelve.

Jessica Simpson says: Laughs! I am kind of boring! The most daring thing? Probably getting back on the stage after humiliating myself at MSG! I love to jet ski in the ocean! I get out there and act totally crazy! Nick does some crazy things! They did a video on the top of the Golden Gate Bridge for "Because of You"(the video.) He said it was pretty scary up there!

Jessica Simpson says: noo, When I am on the road, I am so busy! I just back from Europe. I had 12 hour days. There were photo shoots, TV shows. I always keep busy. We play Nintendo, go shopping. We definitely stay busy!

Jessica Simpson says: Manda, just look for Nick! See what Nick is doing!

Digital Dish Diva says: ashleylovesaaron asks: I want to tell you how much I love your album and I can't wait for the single "I think I'm in Love With You" to come out!!! My question is, do you plan on pursuing acting along with singing?

Jessica Simpson says: ashley, definitely. I have a couple movies. There was one movie I was going to do but it was too much for me at that moment.

Jessica Simpson says: blonde_girl: I don't think of myself as famous. I am just a regular girl from Dallas, Texas. The most interesting thing is that I go to Awards shows and you look around you realize they are just normal people. As long as I keep looking at it like that, it keep me really humble. It keep it in perspective.

Jessica Simpson says: Brianne, because I loved his voice from the beginning and the song is very personal. I lost my cousin three years in a tragic accident. She was 17. Nick knew how I felt and he knew what words to sing. You never understand these things, but you have to keep going. That is why the song is so beautiful. This song for me is about my cousin and her mother and their love and their relationship.

Jessica_Simpson: Hi! Hi fans! I can't wait to answer your questions, and I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Sigmagirl: Who are your greatest musical inspirations?

Jessica_Simpson: Well, I like all kinds of music, but an artist that I really respect is definitely Celine Dion. You can definitely tell that she's in love with what she does, and that inspires me. Also, I like fun music, like Shania Twain, just because she gets me dancing.

tom-guest42: Hello Jessica, I think your music is sung with a lot of emotion and AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL! How long were you singing before you got your first record? Thank you! Tom from Pennsauken N.J.

Jessica_Simpson: I have been singing ever since I can remember. I got my first record deal when I was 14, so, like 9 years, something like that. Thank you for respecting the emotions of my music, because that's what's most important to me.

guest-tenn_girl: I'm trying to get into the music business. I was wondering what advice would you give to someone like me, and how did you go about getting into the music business yourself?

Jessica_Simpson: My parents really helped me out to get into music. They really inspired me to want to take it professionally and to go out and get a deal. But it's definitely a hard road, and you have to be prepared to accept failure because it definitely comes. My best advice would be to get into vocal training, because the most important thing is singing the correct way.

bubberand: Does it bother you when you're compared to Britney or Christina or Mandy?

Jessica_Simpson: It doesn't bother me, because they're very, very successful at what they do. So no, it doesn't bother me to be compared and I don't look at that as a bad thing.

guest-rachel: If you didn't pursue a career in singing, what would you have done instead?

Jessica_Simpson: I really like to encourage people, so I would probably be a psychologist. I like to help people with their problems. I think it would also be fun to do hair and make up for stars.

threepoint2: What do you like to do when you're not singing?

Jessica_Simpson: I like to shop. Can't ever have too many clothes! I like to go to the movies, because it's an escape for me to go to the movie and chow down on popcorn and go into, like, a different world for a while. I like to hang out with Nick whenever I get a chance.

Manolis_Varnas: Jessica how do you feel when you are on stage and you sing live in front of thousands of people - what is the feeling?

Jessica_Simpson: It's a huge rush. Actually that's my favorite part of it all. I watch people sing my song back to me, while I'm singing. That's the best feeling in the world. Good question.

guest-Jessica_fain4ever: Do you enjoy reading? And if you do, what are your favorite books?

Jessica_Simpson: Yeah, I like to read whenever I have time. My favorite author is Nicholas Sparks because he writes really, really romantic books, and I can't read a book unless it's romantic. I have to cry.

guest-daisyvoice: Hi Jessica! I am a huge fan! I wanted to know, did you write lyrics to any of the songs on your album?

Jessica_Simpson: Yeah, I wrote the last song on the album. It's called Heart of Innocence, and it's about my future husband, wherever he is. It's a very, very special song for me. Hopefully on my next album, I'll write a lot more.

guest-Vballplayer17: Hi Jessica, I was just wondering what sports you like to play? Do you like playing volleyball?

Jessica_Simpson: I'm laughing because I'm very, very not athletic at all. I did play volleyball in 7th grade, but I wasn't very good. I didn't make the team the next year.

guest-jules: Hey Jess I was just wondering if you plan on getting married and having kids some day?

Jessica_Simpson: Of course. I want three kids, and I want the fairy tale prince of a husband. I think every girl dreams about that.

guest-ChaosAngel99: How do you feel about being a role model to so many people, like me!?

Jessica_Simpson: I love that part of being looked at and being watched. It's very, very important to me to present myself in a very positive manner.

guest-princess2000: hi!! Where do you buy your clothes?

Jessica_Simpson: I love Guess, so the Guess stores are always good. I love BeBe. I don't really care where it is, just as long as there's cute clothes.

MMFFML: What was your favorite part of making the ODOS (The Way) CD in 97?

Jessica_Simpson: I really didn't sing a lot on that CD, but definitely Praise music is my favorite music to sing, because it's like you're talking to God. And I know He's the One who has blessed me with my voice.

MMFFML: What's it feel like to have a lil sister who is only 15, yet who has already established a career (more or less) in dancing, and has drawn the eye of many concert attendees?

Jessica_Simpson: I'm very proud of my little sister. I always say that she's a bigger star than I am, that's for sure. She deserves everything she gets. And she definitely catches all the boys' eyes.

daisygurley-guest: What did you do on New Year's? Did you make any resolutions?

Jessica_Simpson: I was actually at MTV on New Year's Eve and the count down in the middle of Times Square. It was a lot of fun. I don't really make New Year's resolutions, because I know I'll break them. So it's easier not to make resolutions, because they're easy to break. But I do encourage everybody to stick to their resolutions, because that's not a very good quality that I have.

guest-DivaChick: What do you think makes you stand out from everyone else?

Jessica_Simpson: I'm trying to go for a classier image than everybody else out there.

guest-SweetKisJS: Hi Jessica! I was wondering what is the strangest thing a fan has ever done when meeting you? And what is the greatest, most inspiring thing a fan has ever given you? I love you always and forever, Kim.

Jessica_Simpson: I have these fans that are really sweet, these two girls. They live in New York, and they're always there, wherever I am. They're so cute. And I love it that they're so supportive of me. I don't think that I've ever had a really weird experience with a fan yet. But I definitely love all my fans that talk on my message board. It inspires me that they are inspired.

guest-RudyLRX7: I love the dress you wore to American Music Award. I was wondering who made the dress and where did you buy it? Rudy, CA

Jessica_Simpson: I didn't buy it; my stylist got it for me. It's made by a designer named Randolph Duke. Thank you, I loved it, too.

guest-Jessicafan4life: How long have you been dating 98°'s Nick Lachey?

Jessica_Simpson: A year, a little over a year. The best year of my life.

Manolis_Varnas: Jessica I liked your song on the Dawson's Creek soundtrack. Are you fan of this show and would you make a guest appearance there and sing live?

Jessica_Simpson: Actually Dawson's Creek just asked me to come on the show, and I couldn't because I was on vacation so I had to turn it down. But definitely in the future I would love to - it's my very favorite show.

Manolis_Varnas: Jessica I love "I Wanna Love You Forever." It's a fantastic slow song. What is the next single of your album?

Jessica_Simpson: The next single is actually me and Nick, called Where You Are. And we're shooting a video tomorrow. MTV is making the video, which airs on Valentine's Day.

guest-Jessica_fain4ever: As an international fan of yours (I'm from Buenos Aires), I'd like to know if you ever plan on touring in South America.

Jessica_Simpson: Yes, I would love to tour in South America. Wow, I have a fan that far away! That's very exciting! I love to tour and I love to travel, so hopefully, I get down there.

twotears83: Did you ever have vocal training? - Stephanie - Cincinnati, OH

Jessica_Simpson: Yes. Definitely. I've been in vocal training since I was 13. I love Cincinnati and the SkyLine Chili.

ErrantEgo: Hiya, I love your music! How easy is it to sing as well as you do, and have such cool notes in your song? I blare the music every time I hear you come on! I even have heard you recently on 93.1 WDRQ in Detroit. Nice to hear from you! :)

Jessica_Simpson: It's hard to do night after night, considering my songs have such a big range in them, but it just comes naturally, it just come out. I have to squat really low to hit all those notes.

guest-crazygirl: Do you and your parents have a very strong relationship?

Jessica_Simpson: Yeah. Definitely. They're on the road with me. They're more like my friends than they are like my parents.

Manolis_Varnas: Jessica who are the collaborations on this CD and what singer would you love to make a duet with?

Jessica_Simpson: I can't imagine myself doing a duet with another guy other than Nick. But I also have another duet on there with Destiny's Child, which is a great song about self-esteem.

meow_mix25: I heard you model or you did?

Jessica_Simpson: I don't really go down a runway and model, but I do some print work every now and then, just because it's a part of my job. I'm too short to model.

guest-lyndsay_sugar: If you could have one wish what would it be?

Jessica_Simpson: I would wish to win a Grammy next year. I can't win one this year, because I came out too late for the deadline, but definitely next year. Hopefully. That's my dream.

guest-uRs: Would you consider doing a duet with Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera to help raise money for charity? Jessica_Simpson: I would love to do a duet with Christina. I think that she's one of the most amazing vocalists out there right now. And definitely for charity; I'm a big supporter on that. I'd like Britney to teach me some dance moves, but I'll sing with Christina.

MMFFML: With your tour overseas coming up, according to Jessica (ya know, the OTHER Jessica everyone loves =p), what do you plan to see when you get the odd moment to sight see?

Jessica_Simpson: If I have time I would love to go sightseeing. But really, the whole international thing - they work you like a horse. They work you really hard. So I don't go sightseeing much.

Happymonkey1: How come there were 2 different videos shot for I Wanna Love You Forever?

Jessica_Simpson: They thought the first video was too mature, but I actually like the first one (the one nobody has seen), better than the one everyone has seen. It's a record-label thing.
